Support services

Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC)

Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre offers support to self-defining women and girls who have experienced rape, childhood sexual abuse or any other form of sexual violence. Their ISVA service also offers support to survivors of any gender (see below for more information).

Their confidential telephone helpline is open on Wednesday 7pm-9.30pm, Thursday 7pm-9.30pm, Saturday 10am-12.30pm, and Sunday 10am-12.30pm.

Their email support service is available at and they respond to all emails within 10 days.

Their Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA) service supports anyone, any age, gender or background, who has experienced sexual violence and wants help to navigate the Criminal Justice System.

The Elms

The Elms - Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) is a specialist centre in Cambridgeshire for people who have been recently raped or sexually assaulted. Staff at the SARC, will be able to talk through different options with you and can store forensic evidence until you make up your mind about reporting.  Should you choose to do so, they, or you, can make a report anonymously.

Cambridge Women's Aid provides dedicated and specialist services to women and children experiencing physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse in their homes and/or intimate relationships.

The Samaritans are available on the phone 24 hours a day to support you through any trauma including sexual violence or harassment.
